RTW Trip Day #70: Beach Day Derailed by Sickness on Last Day in Bali

It’s a short entry today. We had planned a day out at Sanur Beach, but unfortunately Susie still hasn’t shaken whatever bug she’s caught and wasn’t well enough for the one hour ride each way.

We decided that since it was our last day in Bali, we would spend some time relaxing by the pool and then head into Ubud for a nice family dinner instead.

Susie wasn’t feeling up to anything unfamiliar, so we went out for another Italian meal, this time at L’Osteria Pizza e Cucina near the hotel shuttle drop-off point. The food was great, and the girls enjoyed sharing a pizza, with Jess even treating herself to a mocktail.

It was a bit of a disappointing end to our time with our parents, but they still have a two-day stopover in Singapore on their way back to the UK, and we have a full day of travel to Brisbane ahead, so we all needed the rest.
