RTW Trip Day #71: Leaving Asia and Arriving in Brisbane, Australia

Today we said goodbye to my parents, who are flying back to the UK with a night in Singapore, and we said goodbye to Asia after two unforgettable months. Our time here has been incredible, but now we’re off to Australia for a whole new part of our journey.

It’s hard to believe we’re already about 70 percent of the way through our trip. We’re all really excited for Australia and New Zealand, but no one more than Evelyn, who has been counting down the days until she gets to meet a koala. Just two days to go!

Flight to Brisbane, Australia

The flight to Brisbane was longer than most of our recent flights at almost six hours, but it was pretty uneventful and we landed in Brisbane at around 9.30 pm.

Normally we would look into whether there was a cheaper bus, but at that hour we were all keen to get to the hotel and rest, so we caught a rather expensive taxi to the Westin Brisbane, where we’ll be staying for five nights.

Susie’s still not feeling great, but hopefully everyone wakes up feeling ok tomorrow so we can spend the day exploring Brisbane, Australia!
