RTW Trip Day #66: Travel Day to Bali, and the Sthala Tribute Hotel in Ubud

We don't have too much to report today as it was mostly a long day of travel. We said our goodbyes to Koh Lanta and made our way to Bali, which we’re excited about as it’s our first time visiting.

We used the same minibus service as we did on our way to the island and Mun Lanta was great again. The price was reasonable compared to others we saw and they were really responsive on WhatsApp at +66 89 971 7792. We’d definitely recommend them.

We were supposed to fly straight to Bali, but the airline went bust and our flight was cancelled. That meant re-booking a new flight via Kuala Lumpur, with just two and a half hours to make our connection, so any delay would have caused us to miss it. Our flight cancellation to Langkawi was definitely in the back of our mind.

Thankfully, AirAsia came through for us this time, and we had no delays on either flight. Evelyn talked pops’ ear off the entire way!

Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Ubud

We landed in Bali at 9.30pm and made our way by minibus to our hotel in Ubud, the Sthala Tribute Portfolio Hotel. First impressions were really positive, and the kids can't wait to play in the pool tomorrow morning!
