Tiniworld

Well, today didn’t exactly go according to the spreadsheet itinerary! I unfortunately won the prize for the first ‘funny tummy’ of the trip, so instead of heading back into Hanoi, which would have meant another hour-long taxi ride each way, we decided to stay at the hotel for the morning and really focus on some homeschooling. We’ve been struggling to find time for it with all the sightseeing lately, so it actually worked out quite well.

In the afternoon we decided to mix things up by heading to tiNiWorld, which is a kids’ activity park inside AEON Mall in Ha Dong, on the western side of Hanoi. It was the perfect change of pace as it gave the kids a few hours of playtime for the girls, some familiar food for all of us, and a chance to reset after a few busy days in the city.

Hopefully the kids will be recharged and ready to go when we set off for Ninh Binh tomorrow.

TiniWorld is a fun indoor play centre designed for kids up to around 10 years old. It’s on the third floor of the mall and stretches across a large space and has a variety of things to do, including a climbing wall, a peddle car race track, ball pits, a soccer pitch, basketball games, slides, and trampolines.

It only cost 150,000 VND each as it was a weekday (around $7 CAD), and we were the only ones in the whole place!

After a couple of hours of running around, the girls came out tired and happy. If you’re visiting Hanoi with children and need a break from sightseeing, TiniWorld is a great option. There are at least 3 other kids play places on level three of the mall, so there are plenty of things to do for kids of all ages.

There were some really nice shops in the mall too, including our favourite (Uniqlo), plus some really nice kids clothes shops. There were lots of food options, including familiar western ones like McDonalds and Starbucks, but we actually ate at Pizza 4P, which was fantastic, exactly what we all needed.

There is another tiniWorld at the other side of Hanoi too, which is closer to the French Quarter, which might be more suitable if you are staying more central.
