We had a bit of a lazy morning as the heavens opened and the rain started bouncing down. It was only meant to rain for an hour or so, but it kept going, so rather than stay in our room all morning we went down to the pool.

It was actually kind of fun being in the pool and hot tub as the rain drops bounced down.
Lunch at the Dim Sum Library

In the afternoon we met up for with one of Susie’s school friends who now lives in Hong Kong for lunch at the Dim Sum Library, which was actually in the mall that attaches to our hotel.

It was great to see Wai Lin again after about ten years, and the food was absolutely incredible! The wagyu beef puffs in particular were out of this world! The girls were sad to say goodbyes as they really loved meeting a friendly face!

Catching the Peak Tram

In the evening we caught the peak tram up to the peak to have a walk along the ridge and to see the Hong Kong skyline, as it's undoubtedly one of the best things to do when visiting Hong Kong.

We walked about 5-10 minutes along the trail. And the heavens opened, and the rain started absolutely bouncing down.
It didn’t look like it was going to stop any time soon, so we went back to the shopping complex by the peak tram and waited it out - the girls ended up getting a McDonald’s treat lucky things.
The rain subsided so we started back out along the ridge, and this time the weather held and we got some amazing views over the Hong Kong skyline. In my opinion it must be up there for the best skyline view in the world!
We caught a bus back down which stopped just a few minutes walk from our hotel, which was appreciated as it was quite late when we got back and the girls wanted a quick dip in the pool before bed.
