Welcome to 100 Days Away Family  Travel Blog! I’m Andrew, the voice behind this blog, along with my wife Susie, our daughters Jessica and Evelyn, and our golden retriever Ellie.

 

We are originally from the UK, but travelled with work, spending two years in Kuwait before settling in Calgary in 2012, where our girls were born. ​

 

We don’t travel full time, and we aren’t digital nomads.

 

We’re a typical family with 9-5 jobs and busy evenings, but we LOVE to travel and explore together.

We made the decision to take a career sabbatical in October 2025 to travel through Asia, Australia, and New Zealand for 100 days. 

​

We hope our story inspires you to plan your own adventures whether that means a big once in a lifetime trip or something that nudges you out of your comfort zone.
